Preparation and characterization of bacterial cellulose suspension to fabricate thin film intended for its application in food packaging
Original language description
Bacterial cellulose (BC) application can be modified and extended if the nanofibers are suspended or rearranged in a homogeneous suspension or solution. So in our present study, we have compared three methods for BC solution (NaOH treatment, ultrasound treatment and NaOH treatment followed by ultrasound treatment) to characterize the thermal and structural properties of the modified BC. The results revealed that ultrasound treated BC has the highest thermal stability with structural superiority.
