ZnO Particle Bandgap Engineering for Polymer Nanocomposites as Active Layers in LEDs
Original language description
This work reports a study on the influence of the electronic structure of ZnO nanoparticles incorporated in the active polymer layer in the LED on their performance. Embedding of ZnO (n-type semiconductor) nanoparticles extremely increases the electroluminescence intensity, while p-doping reduces opening bias and decreases the power required to reach a certain level.
