PVP-CMC hydrogels have the potential for use as biomedical polymers and can be principally considered as biomaterials. To enhance their bioactivity and preserve biodegrability, the PVP-CMC hydrogel reinforece with β-chitin, natural polymer isolated from the cuttlebone of common cuttlefish.
