Study of Bending Resistance of Sandwich Structures
Original language description
This paper deals with the study of the flexural limit state of sandwich structures based on fiberglass and polymeric foams. The influence of geometrical and material parameters on the resulting effective load capacity of the sandwich structure is being studied experimentally and using FEM models. This study shows it is necessary to pay particular attention to the issue of flexural strength, the load capacity of walls when designing sandwich shell products in order to prevent possible failures in the practical applications of these types of structures.
