Flexible fiber-shaped supercapacitor based on RuOx/PEDOT/rGO
Original language description
Fiber-shaped supercapacitors with advantages of being lightweight, highly flexible, soft, low-cost and wearable are considered to be one of the rnostly promising power source candidates. In recent years, graphene fiber has arisen as a new carbonaceous fiber with high expectations in terrns of rnechanical and functional performance. This work reports the preparation of graphene oxide fibers by wet-spinning process. To this end graphene oxide (GO) were synthesized by the oxidation of graphite with a modified Hummer's method. Graphene oxide fibers further were converted to reduced state by Hl reduction and therrnal annealing. Reduced GO (rGO) fibers applied as a support for poly(3,4- ethylenedioxithiophene) (PEDOT) and RuOx for supercapacitor applications. PEDOT was electrochemically deposited on the top of graphene oxide fibers to form PEDOT/GF composite electrodes, they were modified by Ru02 nanoparticles. The structural parameters and surface morphology of the materials obtained are characterized by Scanning Electron Microsopy(SEM). The electrochemical measurements were carried out in 0.5 M Na2S04. Electrochemical performances of electrodes systems was evaluated by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge tests recorded from 0 to 0.8 V. The results demonstrate that specific capacitance and galvanostatic charge/discharge rate depend on electropolymerization condition of PEDOT onto rGO fiber and on the number of cycling in ruthenium ions-based solution.
