Development of an Advanced Microindentation Method to Determine Local Viscoelastic Properties of Polymers
Original language description
In this study, we present a merger of indentation with a conventional DMA. This is to broaden the capabilities of the DMA to measure both viscoelastic bulk properties as well as local viscoelastic properties [1]. Implementing three standardized diamond indenters and a tungsten cone indenter into a DMA with a specially designed x-y-sample rig enables spatially resolved micro-indentations. The comparison to literature values and measured bulk complex moduli showed good agreement.
