Presented paper specializes in the problems of the research of the project management methods and principles knowledge and application in Czech construction firms with the emphasis on the standard and current methods use and their following utility in praxis. It analyse the business environment according to their preparedness for the project management implementation. The essentials goal of this paper is the analyse of the possibilities to use the methods and principles of project management for scheduling and management of the construction projects with the emphasis on the comparison of the potential use of critical path and critical chain method in the construction firm and to generalize the won experiences.
