Original language description

The paper is focusing on the problem of companies performance - its measurement and on seeking the ways to increase it. The measure of performance discussed in detail is the indicator of Economic Value Added (EVA) expressed as a difference between net operating profit after tax and cost of capital. The factors influencing the performance measured by this indicator - value generators - are identified. Particular attention is paid to the possibilities of increasing the profit from operations. One of the ways to affecting returns and costs and consequently the profit of companies and EVA is by forming cluster. The different possibilities of increasing performance of particularly small and medium-sized companies in the environment of globalization and concentration of production and other activities exactly by joining the cluster are discussed in this contribution.

Příspěvek je zaměřen na problematiku podnikové výkonnosti - její měření a hledání cest k jejímu zvýšení. Detailně se zabývá ekonomickou přidanou hodnoty (EVA), což je měřítko výkonnosti vyjádřené jako rozdíl mezi provozním ziskem po zdanění a náklady nakapitál. Jsou identifikovány faktory, které nejvýznamnějším způsobem ovlivňují tvorbu hodnoty - tzv. generátory hodnoty. Pozornost je věnována možnostem zvýšení výkonnosti. Jednou z cest je zapojení podniků do klastru. Jsou diskutovány možnosti zvýšení výkonnosti především pro malé a střední podniky v prostředí globalizace zapojením podniků do klastru.
