Original language description
The aim of each company is improving of its performance. The goal of this contribution is to show the possibilities of utilization of benchmarking and its procedures in the financial management of enterprises active in plastics industry. This contribution contains a benchmarking study of a manufacture of plastic packaging in the Czech Republic. Economic Value Added has been chosen as a measure of performance. The results of the study identify the areas of financial management of enterprises in the concrete plastic branch that require particular attention in order to increase its performance.

Cílem každé společnosti je zvyšovat její výkonnost. Cílem příspěvku je ukázat využití benchmarkingu a jeho metod ve finančním managementu plastikářských podniků. Příspěvek obsahuje benchmarkingovou studii společností zabývajících se výrobou plastových obalů v České republice. Ekonomická přidaná hodnota byla vybrána jako měřítko výkonnosti. Výsledkem studie je identifikace nejvýznamnějších oblastí, kterým by měla být věnována pozornost při zvyšování výkonnosti konkrétního podniku.
