Last year, Gartner, the prestigious analytical agency, published a report entitled "Hype Cycle for Emerging Technologies 2008", in which it described 27 developing technologies and defined five basic ones which should have the greatest influence over thecoming two to five years on the transformation of the ways in which business is done. The article provided a summary of analytical conclusions while in addition, linking expected trends in the field of Enterprise Information Systems. At CVIS, we alwayscomplement the opinions of the Gartner by our own commentary ? oriented on developing and evaluating this field under the conditions prevailing in the Czech and Slovak markets.
