Study on Creative Index in China: a Modified Florida´s 3Ts Model

With the more and more importance of creative economy, there are a lot of researches on it. For assessing the regional and city creativity, Richard Florida established the 3Ts model, that is, Technology, Talent and Tolerance. In this paper, we firstly discussed whether the 3Ts model can be used to China; and then we established the Creative Index for the 26 provinces in China mainland by a modified model which are based on the 3Ts model and combine the economy conditions in China. In the last part, we tested it used the relationship between the Creative Index and GDP per capital, and the result shows that there is a high relationship between them.
