Original language description
The aim of this paper is an endeavor to define factors influencing formation and development of clusters in the Czech Republic and Poland. The authors describe the existing cluster-based policies and the stages of a cluster development in these countries. On the basis of case studies of clusters such as Envicrack from the Czech Republic and the Aviation Valley from Poland, the authors try to define key factors and recommend activities essential to a successful cluster development in other emerging clusters.
