Original language description
This paper will give an overview of the increasing importance of the raw material information. Industrial society, post-industrial society, communication society, information society, risk society as well as knowledge society are leading definitions which have often stood for the public perception of technological change. As a result, sovereignty is no longer executed by texts, discourses or ideologies. Today, power and influence expresses itself in information instead, which avoids an argumentative dispute to a large extent.
