Managerial decision-making about innovative activities require high quality and carefully consider and evaluate all the possible effects to the future of enterprise. The importance of the evaluation of investment play in particular the criteria associated with the future profitability, risk and the degree of liquidity of investments. This paper examines contemporary situation of innovation activities in the Czech Republic, especially the share of innovative enterprises on total number of enterprises according to the sector CZ-NACE, the type of innovation and firm´s size. The contribution shows the structure of expenditures according to type of activity by the technical innovative enterprises. Innovative investment decisions belong to the most importantactivities in the company that have extensive impact on their future development and competitiveness. The risk, uncertainty and higher capital expenditure associated with these projects lead often to their refusal. In consequence finally
