Original language description
This paper deals with the topic of regional competitiveness and convergence. These two concepts are subject of Regional Policy of the European Union and together with the territorial cooperation represent three basic goals set for the programming period2007-2013. Now the question is: Will the achieved results of individual regions be adequate to all the EU effort and money investments? How will policy makers evaluate the impact of implemented regulations? This paper should bring possible solution to these questions and suggest methodology for evaluation of efficiency of Regional policy and other EU policies aimed to support regions. It will be in form of theoretical essay based on scientific literature and experts studies.
