Original language description
Nowadays carrier planning seems to be different from the Roe's theoretical conclusions as the research among 854 students of Czech secondary school has shown. According the Roe's theory people usually focus their occupation in one of eight groups of occupations. The research has confirmed that only 9 percent of students have some focus; average Czech student chooses professions from 5 groups and there are huge gaps between the students' choice and the demand of labour market, especially in the group ofoccupations number 4 - technologies, which is still the most important for the Czech economy output.
