Original language description
The aim of this paper is to investigate the responses of petrol and diesel prices in the Czech Republic to crude oil price changes and in relation to CZK/USD rate change by using statistical multivariate methods including correlation and regression analysis. The intermarket model is tested in the period from January 2000 to January 2012 using the monthly average prices. The author also compares the retail petrol prices in the United States and in the seventeen European countries.
