The article was aimed at describing companies? approaches to optimization of assembly workplaces and proposing generally valid methodology that would be a guide book for these companies. At the beginning of the article is generally characterized LEAN philosophy, focusing on lean manufacturing and process improvement. Detail is then given to the optimization of production workplaces as one of the possible approaches to lean manufacturing.
