In this era of globalization Corso reverting into relocalization-ricorso, majoe sectors of the Nigerian economy are crippled by poor epileptic infrastructures snd energy and cannot provide employment for the teeming population of youths in Nigeria. The main objective of this study is to examine how innovation and entrepreneuship can serve as a catalysts for the reduction of youth unemployment in Nigeria. The study used primary data generated from five hundred questionnaire adminstered to self employed youths that managed their private businesses in Ota, a small town in Ogun State, Nigeria using the purposive sampling technique. The data was analyzed using frequency tables and multiple regression analysis. The result reveals that there is a significant relationship between innovation and enterepreneurship and youth unemployement. Therefore the study recommends that the federal Government of Nigeria should establishe entrepreneurship Universities where youths can acquire entrepreneurial skills as well as provide funds in form of loans that youths can easily access to set up businesses.
