Legitimate expectations in administrative procedural law: a guiding principle of good public administration
Original language description
This chapter deals with current problematic issues of the application of legitimate expectations in administrative law. The principle constitutes an essential part of the right to good administration, as it results from soft law and case law. First, the content and sources of this principle are outlined. The limits of legitimate expectation are then analysed and it is questioned whether legitimate expectation can also arise from unlawful administrative practice.
