Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping organizational strategy and requiring new leadership approaches. This paper highlights the pivotal role of AI leadership in navigating organizational AI strategy and AI transformation frameworks to define AI business strategy. The AI Transformation Framework is utilized as a central theoretical lens. Effective AI leaders must align the framework with the overall business strategy, including strategic objectives (the “what”), implementation timing (the “when”), and resource mobilization and organizational capabilities (the “how”). Furthermore, the study discusses emerging challenges of AI leadership and identifies key determinants for developing a successful AI business strategy capable of generating sustainable competitive advantages.
