One of the major preferences of universities in the Czech Republic is improving the quality of education/training including its releveance for the labour market. The key principle is to develop human resources for the knowledge economy in a socially cohesive community. The economic development is unthinkable without the civil society development where a significant role is played by non-profit organizations. The breadth and diversity of the non-profit sector are, however, connected with increasing problems caused by the lack of specialists. The current state, reflecting the ever more urgent needs of the society, discovers new possibilities and approaches not only in terms of university students practical competence but also in consequent graduates' jobpositions. The study presents an options for the solution of the lack of marketing specialists in the non-commercial sphere as well as establishing the necessary platform for new approaches in educational curricula creation based on the
