Motivation for application of evolutionary computation to chaotic systems
Original language description
This chapter focuses on motivating an application of evolutionary computation to complex problems especially with respect to chaotic systems. In this chapter, general evolutionary techniques are first reviewed, including the so-called evolvable hardware, with some selected examples of their applications. Then, motivation of studying chaotic systems as an interesting application domain for evolutionary algorithms is provided with brief discussions.
