Original language description
Protection of critical infrastructure is a relatively new branch of application of management functions by state. The amendment of Act No. 240/2000 Coll. on crisis management has established the duty of Czech republic state's and private's owners of selected objects and systems to ensure the protection of elements of critical infrastructure. Implementation of the taken measures is done in the present time. Quantitative evaluation of taken security and other measures to should be part of this process inthe future. This paper will talk basic problems and approaches of resilience of elements and system of critical infrastructure elements. The current approach of the Czech Republic to protect critical infrastructure is based on the approach of the European Union. Its aim is to provide for the elements of critical infrastructure protection.
