A revised ring of stable and proper quasipolynomial meromorphic functions for LTI-TDS
Original language description
The ring of stable and proper retarded quasipolynomial meromorphic functions (RMS) for algebraic control of linear time-invariant time delay systems (LTI-TDS) was introduced in [1]. However, it has been shown later that the original definition has some significant drawbacks; namely, it does not constitute a ring, it should include neutral systems and those with distributed delays, etc. This paper addresses a revisited conception of this algebraic structure and provides a thumbnail general theoretical sketch of its utilization in controller design over input-output map of LTI-TDS. Unlike the straightforward use of quasipolynomial transfer function representation, the redefined ring effectively enables to grapple with task of internal feedback system stability, asymptotic reference tracking and disturbance rejection at least. The methodology is easy-to-use and thus very applicable when solving various engineering problems.
