Identification and Digital Control of Higher-Order Processes Using Predictive Strategy
Original language description
Some higher-order processes are found in technical practice when the design of optimal controller leads up to complicate control algorithms. One of possibilities of control of such processes is their approximation by lower-order model with time-delay (dead time). The contribution is focused on a choice of the suitable experimental identification method and the suitable excitation input signals for the estimation of process model parameters with time-delay. The second contribution is design of algorithmsfor digital control of high-order processes which are approximated second-order process model with time-delay. The designed control algorithms are based on a predictive order strategy. First controller algorithm uses the digital modification of the Smith Predictor (SP), second algorithm has been derived on a base of the General Predictive Control (GPC) which was modified for control of systems with time-delay. The program system MATLAB/SIMULINK was used for simulation verification of th
