Original language description
The power delivery through a data cable, known also as Power on Ethernet (PoE), has been increasingly gaining in the previous years, utilizing the standards of 12, 24 or 48 V. This paper provides a description of one of the possible approaches to the design of an Uninterruptable Power Supply unit for feeding the PoE devices. The backup accumulator is commuted electronically by means of one diode and one transistor, which ensures high reliability and low amount of power losses.
