Paper looks into the electronic components authenticity evaluation methodology with accent on analogue signature analysis and its potentiality for unauthentic components recognition. The basic I-V characteristics are mentioned in relation to particular components evaluation results and a possibility to infer structural and technological differences from it. The practical component evaluation result examples are mentioned and illustrated with recorded I-V characteristics and in one case also with relevant X-ray images.
