The paper focuses on the localization of the mobile phone in the mobile network. There are briefly analyzed the structure of GSM network which can be divided into 4 parts. Then there were described each of these parts in more details, which significantlycontributes to the localization of mobile phones. The third chapter solves localization methods in mobile networks. For each method has always been the type of network in which the method can be used, of course, its principle and scheme operation. Thereis a description method based on the deduction of location of mobile phone knowledge of the position of nearby transmitters and other parameters (Cell ID, E-OTD, OTDOA), but also using the technology of GPS (A-GPS) and at the end of this chapter the best combination of methods.).
