Rheological properties of calcium carbonate suspensions determined from centrifugation
Original language description
Centrifugation method is employed for testing of rheological effectiveness of sulphonated melamineformaldehyde condensate plasticizer in calcium carbonate suspensions. It was found that yield values (critical normal and shear stresses) are governed by the dose of additive through the sorption of additive molecules on calcium carbonate particles. Moreover, critical normal stress increases with decrease of inter-particle volume of suspensions.
