This study aims to tune fractional order proportional derivative controller for first order plus time delay model. The controller will be tuned to satisfy four frequency specifications inspired from the behavior of an ideal system. The first aim is to obtain desired phase margin at the desired gain crossover frequency. Then, the formulas to obtain desired gain margin at the desired phase crossover frequency. Finally, a controller is obtained satisfying both requirements. Because its lack of the integral operator, working on proportional derivative controllers are considerably complicated. This paper presents the results clearly and gives some solution proposals.
