FAILURE OF CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE ELEMENTS AND POTENTIAL CASCADING EFFECTS TO THE TRANSPORT
Original language description
The failure of the critical infrastructure elements represents a significant impact on the national security, safeguarding the basic living needs of the inhabitants, human health or the state's economy. Several critical infrastructure elements are defined, including transport. The world is threatened by several emergencies - floods, drought, tornadoes and other. These events threaten the state's critical infrastructure. Different events could trigger cascading effects. It means that the impact of an emergency on transport has an impact on another essential element of infrastructure - energy. Paper is focused on the failure of critical infrastructure elements and potential cascading effects on the transport. At first, literature research on critical infrastructure will be carried out. Secondly, possible cascade effects in the transport sector will be analyzed. Finally, evaluation and recommendation will be made.
