Young Adult Novel: The Bane of American Gay Fiction?
Original language description
This article focuses on the confusion surrounding adult and young adult gay (male) fiction published in America since the late 1960s. This confusion is widespread and has resulted in some notable misunderstandings among both critics and readers. Based onexamples taken from coming-out novels, an attempt is made to identify and distinguish young adult (YA) novels using textual criteria rather than publishers? practices and policies.
