  • Original language description

The contribution focuses on homelessness as the current social problem of humanity in every stage of its development. In the Slovak Republic, after 1989, not only the political, but also the social and social situation changed significantly. The problem of homelessness has emerged and continues to the present, with dimensions growing. The theoretical part of the contribution defines a social group endangered by homelessness, presents approaches and legislation in the Slovak Republic, taking into account the international obligations in this area. The research section provides a qualitative study that identifies and describes barriers that prevent homeless people from re-socializing them. We chose a qualitative design of research and the main methods were interview, analysis, synthesis, deduction and generalization. The analysis explores research with homeless people within which a differentiated motivation program has been applied. Empirical findings of respondents who record the success of the intervention form in the process of re-socialization in the context of their application on the labor market.
