Original language description
The paper introduces the basic concept of Corporate Governance with emphasis on the education of members of corporate governance bodies. The introduction defines three levels of knowledge, management board and supervisory board members in the corporate governance. The main objective of the research was to compare the level of application of knowledge of Corporate Governance of members of Corporate Governance bodies of multinational organizations and Czech organizations doing businesses in the Czech Republic. The method of questionnaire survey was used for data collection as one of the methods of quantitative research. The results were statistically evaluated in the context of descriptive statistics. The chi-square was used to verify the hypotheses. Based on the results of the research, the critical areas have been identified and the recommendations to organizations operating in the Czech Republic have also been formulated. Problem areas, which should be taken into consideration to gain competitive advantage of the organization in the Czech Republic, are the selecting process of members of corporate government bodies and their knowledge of corporate governance. Applying the knowledge of multinational organizations in corporate governance area is one of the ways to increase the level of competitiveness of organizations doing business in the Czech Republic.
