Critical infrastructure means an element of critical infrastructure or a system of critical infrastructure (healthcare system), the disruption of the function of which would have a severe impact on state security, provision of basic living needs of the population, and the health of persons or state economy. To the critical infrastructure sector belongs transport, energy, agriculture, healthcare and several others. Hospitals represent an essential part of the critical infrastructure.
