Sensing element on the base of graphene/styren-isopren copolymer for VOC detection in industry
Original language description
Present work is motivated by the fact that graphene materials is very sensitive for different types of gases or vapors. This sensing application of graphene is important from the point of view of device technology as well as for understanding the basic physics and chemistry of gas adsorption on graphene surfaces. Another motivation for presentation this results is the fact that volatile organic compound in the form of vapors, solvent, or gases are widely used in the industry and could be potentially danger for human. We report the preparation and testing the sensing element for volatile organic compound on the base of graphene with styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS) block copolymer. The sensing element is made from polyester fabric covered by graphene polymer composite. The sensor was testing for ethanol, acetone, petroleum and toluene saturated vapors.
