Laser-mediated synthesis of Cu by photochemical reduction of metal salts in a continuous flow jet
Original language description
In the current communication, the synthesis of Cu nanoparticles with sizes of 20±10nm is carried out by photochemical reduction of CuCl2∙2H2O dissolved in ethylene glycol by irradiating with a nanosecond pulsed laser source a continuous flow jet. The presented methodology allows the formation of relatively large quantities of Cu nanoparticles in the presence of organic oils, taking as precursor agent metal salts that are conventionally used in traditional wet synthesis techniques.
