Processability of High Metal and Ceramic Concentration Compounds
Original language description
Processability of high metal and ceramic concentration materials is governed by their flow behavior. A fundamental role of rheology in processes as powder injection molding or material extrusion is to assess processing windows, where compounds behave in a shear thinning manner. A classical time-consuming and expensive trial-and-error methods has no longer rationale in fundamental research. With the current demands on reliability of flow simulation approaches, the knowledge of processing of flow data becomes essential. An attention is paid to aspects, where the reliable and fundamental approaches are still missing, and/or transfer of the existing fundamentals to highly concentrated systems fails.
