The advancement in electronic and telecommunication systems has led to the emergence of demands for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shíelding materials. In this work, CoFe,O4 nanoparticles were synthesized using the sonochemical technique. The synthesized CoFe2O4 nanoparticles were incorporated in a thermoplastic polyurethane matrix along with conducting filler graphite in an equal wť'/4 ratio using a melt-mixing approach. The structural, morphological, magnetic and dielectric characteristics of the prepared nanocomposite were investigated. CoFe,O4-graphite-TPU nanocomposite displayed prominent EMI shielding performance with a total EMI shielding efťectiveness value of 31.6 dB in the Xband frequency range. The results indicate the potential of the developed nanocomposite for EMI shielding applications.
