Nowadays, satellite communication, radar detection, and military systems all rely on electromagnetic (EM) wave technology forinformation transmission. Although it has made life easier, the resulting electromagnetic interference (EMI) has a growing impacton the proper operation of electronic devices and poses a risk to human health. To address the EMI problem, researchers havefocused on developing EM shielding or microwave absorber materials capable of attenuating EM waves. This talk will discuss thedevelopment of a high-performance EMI shielding polymer nanocomposite with dielectric and magnetic properties. In addition, theobserved EMI shielding characteristics will be correlated with the EM parameters of the developed nanocomposites. The developednanocomposites can find applications in aerospace, spacecraft, automobile, and defense systems.
