Zkrácení pracovní doby v roce 1956 a Revoluční odborové hnutí
Original language description
The reduction of working time in Czechoslovakia by two hours a week was one of few modest results of social moves after the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. The reduction was a typical reform “from above“, people did not “care“ much about it. Even socialist trade unions did not inspire the traditional working class demand for shortening of working hours, they only carried out the administrative and promotional tasks dictated by the Communist Party and the governement.
