The text deals with the problem of temporality of sport performance. The first part presents linear model for time (past ? present ? future) which comes from Aristotle´s conception. Different types of sport performance are connected with a concrete timeperiod. Typical remarks of the past are records, while training plans are connected with the future. Process of the race (marathon race is chosen as an example) shows quite a complicated understanding of the present when one concrete moment of the race is firstly the future, then becomes the present and goes to the past in the end. The Zeno´s paradoxes (Flying Arrow and Achilles and the Tortoise) are mentioned in this context. Non-linear models for time could give a clearer explanation of very complicated understanding of the present. Husserl´s phenomenology speaks about dual temporal horizons of the past and future.
