Contemporary ethnical structure in Czech Republic consists prevailingly of Czechs, Slovaks, Gypsies, Ukrainians, Russians, Poles and Germans. Here are living also members of other ethnicities. In Havlíčkův Brod hospital we often meet with patients from Mongolia. Communication plays the key role in respecting of patients? rights and respecting of patients? rights is one of the key areas of continuous quality improvement. Patient must be conclusively informed about his rights. If patient does not speak Czech or if he has another communication barrier than hospital specify a uniform procedure (for example the access to interpreter) which determines how will such patient be informed about his rights (Marx, Vlcek, 2008).
