Contribution deals with realization of small water turbine in a small river in the south Moravia.There is presented a remote connection between the power turbine and the simulated smart grid in the article. The informatiom about the actual power producedby the power station is translated to the contrl place of the smart grid modeled physicaly in the laboratory 120km far from the water turbine. There are also presented protection and consumtion subsystem neer the water turbine like a smart energy insel.
