Original language description
Innovations are becoming one of basic factors of regional development. In the context of common policies of European Union, goals of Cohesion and R&D Policy are gradually mingling within the meaning of support of innovation technologies introduction to enhance the competitiveness and the convergence of regions. The paper is trying to capture the basic development linkages of this synergy including the analysis of concrete financial programming support development of studied policies of European Union. The last part of the paper deals with synergy of Cohesion and R&D Policy for the technological and social innovations´ support for the 2014 - 2020 programming period. This support is implemented through the principle of territorial, social and economic cohesion in regional strategies RIS3.
