Some possibilities how to develop cultural and anthropological values of modern sports
Original language description
Modern sports are confronted with the crisis of values which is probably more serious than it was any time in human history. There are a lot of different reasons for this situation. Within this paper we pay attention on some problems of modern sport. Oneof them is the loss of authenticity. The author of this paper tries to find some characteristics of an athlete´s authentic perception which can be presented as the anthropologic value of sport. Since it is very difficult to define authenticity and evenmore difficult it is to measure it in any way, the author tries to provide some possibilities how to support the authentic mode of being. The phenomenon of spiritual health constitutes one of these possibilities. The author tries to introduce a five-factor conception of spiritual health in which authenticity (as well as integrity and personal identity) presents an essential part (Factor 1). This conception has been developing during past three years by a team at the Faculty of Physical C
