    In this article the health damage due to infant and child exposure to environmental tobacco smoke is demonstrated. In focus are the health effects such as infant sudden death syndrome and asthma attacks in children under 14 years of age. The method of health impact assessment was applied. The estimation of attributive cases was provided for 27 European countries. Data for the calculations were taken from the available international databases and surveys. The information was made for the health risk managers on insistent need to enforce smoke-free policies.
