Publication is dealing with the cultural monuments in the Ostrava-Karviná mining district. It briefly describes geological conditions and historical and typological development. In the format of catalog, there are processed single mining works. Hereafter, in the form of catalogue, which is classified in accordance with cadastral area, are processed all locations where cultural monument are situated. Catalogue of the locations contains unified structured description of ownership, techical development andanalysis of building supplemented by maps of protection at a scale of 1:5000, historical photographs (b & w) and by color photographs of the present state.
