The potential of pollen analyses from urban deposits: multivariate statistic analysis of data set from the medieval city of Prague, Czech Republic
Original language description
Summary of the research based on analysis of 125 pollen spectra gained from excavations of medieval situations in the historic centre of Prague. Differences between the spectrum from early medieval and the high medieval ages were observed and signified,i.e. how did the foundation of the Gothic town reflect on the local vegetation. The results are based on multivariation statistic analysis. Application of pollen analysis in archaeology, in research based on sediments of anthropogenic origins, faces a problem of complicated taphonomy of the sediments.
